The iPhone is full of surprises. There are more settings in the iOS operating system than you can shake a stick at. Every once in a while I find a "new" setting buried deep in the iOS settings menu that makes me very happy. This is one of those rare occasions. Enter keyboard shortcuts!
If you’re like me you’ve got a few websites that you go to a lot with your iPhone when you’re on the go. You’ve probably even saved a few web pages to your home screen for quick access. It’s a great feature to be able to do that. And if the website has a mobile version, it's almost like having its own dedicated app. The problem is that some web sites have their own home screen bookmark icons that look great, but there are plenty more that don’t. In that case, the iOS does an interesting thing. It takes a thumbnail screen shot of the web page and uses that as the bookmark icon picture. Pretty clever Apple, but when you have a bunch of bookmarks on your home screen the tiny little thumbnail screen shots tend to look alike. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to customize the icons yourself?
Well, now you can...
If you were lucky enough to have owned a computer in 1992 you may have had the good fortune to play one of the original 3D shooters: Wolfenstein 3D. If not, today is your lucky day: The game is now available on iPhone and iPad.
While the advent of Dropbox has given us the ability to synchronize our files to the cloud, there has not, until now, been a method to facilitate remote file access on the iPad. Enter TeamViewer HD. While TeamViewer has always provided us with a free and reliable means to remote access our home computers, it could only provide remote file access through Dropbox. However, a recent TeamViewer upgrade has changed all of that. Let me show you how...

The iPhone is a wonderful device. For starters, it is an extremely capable phone, web browser, and camera. It does have it's limitations however. One area that could certainly use some improvement is email. Although the iPhone is compliant with all types of email accounts, it takes some minor tweaks to unleash it's full potential.
With the recent news that Apple, the makers of the wildly successful iPhone, iPod and iPad platforms, has more spending money than the entire United States of America it makes sense now why it seems like everyone in the world seems to own an iPhone or iPad these days. According to CNN Steve Jobs and Apple have a ridiculous $76.2 Billion in cash and marketable securities as compared to the US Treasury with only $73.8 Billion in operating cash. How is that possible? How could a tech company that was struggling as recently as the 90s now be wealthier than the most powerful nation on the planet? Well, since I'm no financial journalist or economic expert, I'm going to choose to focus on something a little closer to my area of expertise. Let's take a look at the TOP 10 iPhone Apps that we here at Gounce.com think that you shouldn't be without.
Okay, at this point "Angry Birds" should not be new to anyone. It is available on numerous platforms including PS3, Google Chrome, Intel AppUp, Facebook and of course the Apple Appstore, by which it can be played on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Project Free TV is a website dedicated to bringing every episode of every show to the internet for free. All iPhones and iPod Touches come with a few preinstalled apps right off the shelf. One of these apps in particular is very useful for some and not at all for others. I'm talking about the Stocks app.
This app is useful for the obvious reasons of being able to log and track on a minute to minute basis any stocks you may have invested in (although the app runs updates 20 minutes behind the actual market). But, for those of us who do not invest in the stock market there is another use for this app. Want to know the exact exchange rates for the US dollar converted to say, the Canadian dollar or maybe the Euro or even the British Pound?
Have you just gotten a new iPhone and discovered that one of your speakers on the bottom of your phone isn't working? Well, not to worry because although there are 2 holes on the bottom of the iPhone only 1 of them is a speaker; the other is your phone's microphone. Check out the hardware pictures below. And, don't feel bad about it, you're not the first to make that mistake.
