"You Gotta Eat Here" Host "John Catucci" Sucks

Reasons Why "You Gotta Eat Here" Doesn't Cut the Mustard

First of all, the host (John Catucci) has absolutely no credibility when it comes to food. He is not a chef, a cook, or even a restaurateur. What is he? He is a comedian... kind of. You may remember him from the failed Much Music show "Video on Trial". Keeping in mind that this show is about food, it would only make sense for the host to be somewhat related to the industry. Take, for instance, the American Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". The host of this show not only drives a bad-ass Chevrolet Corvette SS, but is the renowned chef and restaurateur, Guy Fieri.

Secondly, John Catucci has no appeal whatsoever! His dialogue is neither funny nor entertaining. Aren't you a comedian?

When he helps out in the featured kitchens, he continually screws up and makes a mockery of the entire culinary process.

Thirdly, Catucci is constantly eating with his mouth open. Rude much?

Lastly, Catucci is relentlessly after the restaurant patrons to eat from their plates. Yes, you heard me right. He eats their food. He tries to eat sandwiches, burgers, soup, whatever he can get his hands and mouth on. Disgusting!

"You Gotta Eat Here" Final Thoughts

At the end of the day, Food Network Canada needs to find a new host for this show. They already borrowed the entire concept from "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives", might as well take a couple cues from them on choice of host as well!
