Tim Horton's Coffee Lids

tim horton's coffee lidsOkay so I'm probably not the first guy to complain about the Tim Hortons coffee cup lid... But I think that I have a justified right to gripe in this case. Firstly, it is not overly comfortable to drink from. Let's face it, it's kinda sharp! Secondly, in my experience, it's about 60% of the time that the lid actually snaps back into place correctly. Okay so 40% of the time you have to try that side-ways tear off. Don't get me started on the success rate of that!

So now let's talk about McDonald's lid. Pure perfection! Firstly, it's smooth to drink from, very comfortable. Secondly, it always snaps back into place correctly! Amazing.Okay, so as a consumer what can you do? I for one have decided to start drinking McDonald's coffee. It's better than Tim's in my opinion and the lid is pure joy. For those of you die hard Tim's fans however, I have a solution.Next time you crack the lid on a Tim's do yourself a favour, fold it back into the cup. It provides 2 benefits. Firstly, it will stay down! Secondly, it prevents some spills when your Tim's is holstered in the cup holder while driving : )

Try it out, and let me know what you think!
